Vlora Spanca has been Assistant Auditor General at the National Audit Office since August 2017.
She is responsible for the Division that includes a number of departments such as Department of Performance Audit, Department of Information Technology Audit, and Department of Procurement and Project Management Audits. She has been also responsible for financial audit of projects funded by different donors such as World Bank and Swedish International Development Agency. Over the period from 2017 to 2019 Spanca has been the coordinator for implementation of the World Bank funded project on capacity building for public procurement auditing.
She started working for National Audit Office in 2007, while from 2009 to 2016 she had been Head of Audit Department for regularity audits covering ministries and independent agencies established by the Assembly of Kosovo. During the period 2015 – 2016, Spanca had been responsible for auditing Kosovo Budget Annual Financial Statements.
Before joining National Audit Office, Spanca worked for four years at the Office of the Deputy Special Representative of the Secretary-General, United Nations Missions in Kosovo. She was mainly responsible to support administration of Liaison Offices with Kosovo Protection Corps, Kosovo Interim Administration Structure, and Directorate for Rural Affairs.
Spanca holds a university degree in Economics obtained from University of Prishtina ‘Hasan Prishtina’. She is a certified Public Sector Auditor and a certified Quality Systems Manager from “Quality Austria”.
