Saranda Husaj – Baraliu

Saranda Husaj – Baraliu has been the Head of Communication and Professional Development Department at the National Audit Office since February 2020.

She started her career in 2007, while she was still a student, intertwining her knowledge gained at faculty with concrete professional experience, mainly in private sector, as accounting assistant. In 2009 she started working for Asseco SEE Kosova, where she has worked as Banking Operations Officer for three years.

Since 2012 she has been part of the NAO family bearing different responsibilities. Until 2016 she has been engaged as auditor of regularity and performance audit. During this period she had been team member to all the audits carried out by NAO audit of Publicly Owned Enterprises, budget organisations, and public-private partnerships.

In 2017, she was appointed Team Leader for performance audits, information technology audits, audits on implementation of recommendations, and audits of donor projects, and she has led some audits of public specific interest.

From May 2019 to February 2020 she has been in the position of the Acting Head of International Audit Communication and Cooperation Department.

Husaj- Baraliu is an economist graduated from department of ‘Banking, Finances and Accounting’.

In 2012, she obtained the title Master on Financial Markets and Banking. She is a licensed Public Sector Auditor and Appraiser of Immovable Property. She is undergoing the training for certified accountant of private sector. She has attended many professional trainings in accounting, audit, public administration, management, and information technology. She has also participated in many international conferences and seminars.
