NAO auditors upgrade their skills on the audit of World Bank projects

For the purpose of obtaining sufficient and clear information regarding the rules and methodology of auditing World Bank projects, more than twenty auditors of the National Audit Office attended, on Monday, online training on Auditing of World Bank Projects.

The training was held in two sessions on the topics “Audit Terms of Reference” and “Procurement according to World Bank rules”. The training covered details on the issues related to the World Bank projects’ Terms of Reference; Overview of Procurement Framework; Selection Methods for Goods, Works and Non-advisory Services; Selection Methods for Advisory Services; Compliant Management and Stand Still Period; Common Procurement Issues in Bank Projects; as well as Minor Deviations during Bids Evaluation.

In 2020/2021 audit season, the National Audit Office is auditing 11 World Bank projects worth about €69 million. The projects to be audited under the agreement with WB are: Kosovo Education System Improvement Project (MEST – WB); Competitiveness and Export Readiness (MTI – WB); Renewable Energy Efficiency (MED – WB); Rural and Agricultural Development (MAFRD – WB); Digital Economy in Kosovo (MEA – WB); Kosovo Health Project (MoH – WB); Kosovo Emergency Covid-19 Project (MoH – WB); Kosovo Pandemic Emergency Financing in (MoH – WB); Kosovo Emergency Covid-19 Project (MLSW – WB); Real Estate & Geospatial. Infrastructure (Kosovo Cadastral Agency – WB); and Municipalities for Youth in Kosovo Project (MLG – WB).
