The Auditor General of the Republic of Kosovo Besnik Osmani and the President of the Supreme Audit Institution of the Czech Republic, Miloslav Kala, today held a virtual meeting in order to discuss the implementation of the Bilateral Cooperation Agreement signed in 2019 and preparations for the XI EUROSAI Congress of which will be held virtually in April 2021.
At the meeting, the Auditor General of Kosovo, Besnik Osmani thanked his Czech counterpart for his ongoing support when it comes to the integration of the KNAO into international organizations and wished him success in chairing EUROSAI.
Whereas, the President of the Supreme Audit Institution of the Czech Republic, Miloslav Kala, congratulated Mr. Osmani for the membership of the Kosovo National Audit Office into the family of the European Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (EUROSAI). Further on, Mr. Kala has expressed the readiness to deepen inter-institutional cooperation through the development of bilateral activities by providing professional expertise and when chairing the EUROSAI it offered readiness to support and advance cooperation with KNAO in EUROSAI forums.
The discussion further focused on the exchange of experiences when it comes to the impact of the pandemic on public audit and possibilities for cooperation in this regard.
In the meeting, the Auditor General of Kosovo was accompanied by the Deputy Auditor General Ilir Salihu and the Director of International Cooperation, Qendresa Mulaj.
